As in, all others were treating the problem with an utterly serious approach, and you can see a perfectly simple solution that would otherwise be unnoticed?

How did you react?

Did you go against the majority opinion in order to make your proposal known??

  1. Yeah most of the time people need to stand back and the see the obvious. If I saw an obvious solution I'd definitely go against the grain and point it out. Embarrassment last 10s, doing something stupid lasts a lifetime.

In a lot of emergency situations people stand back and do nothing to help thinking, oh someone else will help. Don't think like that, think if I do nothing someone will get hurt or worse.

  2. It seems like this happens a lot with people who are directly involved.. then the person that isnt can look at the issue without much bias or feeling of hurt, anger, etc.

This is why I usually just ask a second opinion. I don't always take it, but I sure think about it.

A lot of people blow things out of prop. these days.
