There were two ladies who worked for the Office Manager and they were always rude to me. I tried to be friendly but they would not even respond when I tried to talk to them. They just acted like I was not there.

Well then a funny thing happened. I was promoted and there was a corporate reorganization and I became the boss (manager) of the two ladies. Once they got the word that they would report to me they worked hard behind the scenes to get transferred to a different manager so they would not have to report to me. They failed.

Now they work for me. What would be the polite thing to do to them?

  1. lol sucks for them... there is a saying at my work "becareful who you are rude to, because tomorrow they're your boss" and its so true cuz pple move around the company like crazy!

So my oppinon.... you have to remain professional.  Esspically since you are boss lady now.  But keep an eye out.  If attitude and behavior effect their work and the work of those around them.. that is a room for transfer or termination.

  2. Make their lives miserable. Ha Ha.

  3. Amusing, if you want to be polite just behave in a completely professional manner and let them know what you expect. If you want to be friendly try and clear the air by talking to them one on one, which they hardly deserve. But I would take the first option and keep them on their toes, and make friends with other managers or people above you or them. They don't really matter.
