Ever been to Paraguay?

What did you think of it? How is it similar or different from the rest of South America?

I have not.I visited Chile and Peru,and found them to be beautiful,and the people very friendly.

Asuncion is similar to the noisy, corwded cities of norther Argentina.  Ciudad del Este is a free-for-all with markets, smugglers and a lawless Wild West feel.  some say it is the most dangerous city in South America, I don't believe it, it seemed fine when I was there.  The route from Encarnacion (an ugly little smoggy city across the river form Posadas, Argentina) to Ciudad del Este is a beautiful, tropical forest meets farmland area with hard working farmers, small towns and relative safety.  It is full of Germans, Japanese and Brazilian farmers - Lots of great food if you like Beef.
