  5. Volterra is famous for alabaster.

    Walking down the streets you will surely have the possibility to visit the workshops and see how they mould it. It's very fascinating! ;-)

    And if you want to eat typical food from Tuscany, I suggest you to go to La Sassa - close to Volterra.

    The name of the restaurant is "La Grotta" which means "The Cave": some of the tables are placed in a real cave!!!
