  1. ?????? "Twisted Sister" maybe? I believe that "Queen" has an album in which they wear drag in the cover.

  2. Twisted Sister.  Not sure of the appeal..

  3. there wierd try this link www.sucker.com

  4. I rented to a guy that was in such a band... He always wanted me to go and see them,  but  no,  I wish I had

he was such a nice person and I told him how to shave his legs

    lol

    I miss that personality

    keep your mind open!!!!

  5. no

  6. I don't know where you're from but here on Earth it's pretty common.

  7. How do transsexuals dress?

last I checked, they dress the same as everyone else in their area.

  8. I'd have to say the appeal is mostly to women. You'll hardly ever find a girl who doesn't either think a girly man is s**y, or who won't at least giggle at it. Now, what's creepy is a manly man dressed as a girl. The appeal lies in their femininity. A lot of women like that.

  9. Yes I'm sorry to say I have. The band's called Malice Mizer. It's a Japanese band. The lead singer (or to say the founder of the band) is really scare looking.

  10. Heh. Where were you during the 80's??

Between the hair metal bands (someone above mention Twisted Sister) to the androgyny of pop-rock bands like David Bowie or The Eurythmics, bending gender was all the rage for a solid five years at least. And lets not forget those visible stars who actually were transgender in some way, like pop star Boy George of Culture Club or punk queen Jayne County.

A lot of rock is about pushing people's taboos and trying to bring out new perspectives. During times of society where gender roles become a bit more restrictive (like during the Regan Era given the 80's example) rock often responds by pushing gender norms. Either they are explicitly pushing gender norms to make people think about them, or they just happen to feel most comfortable expressing themselves that way and they are asserting their right to do so on stage. Both are valid statements much in line with the spirit of rock n' roll.

As an aside, i have to agree with the person above who mentioned that in reality transsexual people look like everyone else. I understand what you mean when talking about this band, but it is important to mindful of stereotypes too. Most transsexual people, there's nothing particular remarkable about the way they look.

  11. Wayne Hussey, the vocalist for The Mission, is known to dress as a woman every now and then, especially for live gigs.

    Marilyn Manson too.

  12. All the time.

Have you seen Dir en grey in their old days?

    Or Gackt in the 90's?

    LOLLLLLL!

I love the Japanese and their girly men.

    ^___^
