Ever dropped anything in the gap between the train and the platform?

I remember when i was a kid, coming out of a train, i dropped a lighter (which i used for fireworks, not smoking) accidentally between the gap. Other than that, i can't remember ever dropping anything else.

i never have but one of the more famus stories of ghandi is as he was baording a train one of his shoes feel off and went in the gap.he bent down and drop the other one there to ,said know some one may find a pair of shoes that they can use

Yeah i droped my tiger toy when I was 6 So i jumped down after it and the train began to move and broke both my legs

People are constantly dropping things on the tracks; food, soda, bag of chips, a small shopping bag, woman's scarf, I saw someone's shoe (1) there along with occasional mice that comes to feed on the debris.  This is the NYC subway, by the way.  We must have the dirtiest tracks anywhere.
