Another needle

In my side

Make it deep

I cannot hide

The metal pin

I need to feel

pierce my mind

Silver sliver

My muslin soul

threads on fire

burning holes

Hi Dragon Lady,

I go to Mardi Gras every other year because it's like I always say, you CAN have too much of a good thing! I would always get my fortune read at Marie Laveau's House Of Voodoo on Bourbon Street. For the life of me I don't know why they call it a fortune telling, $10 dollars ain't THAT much money...lol!! Enjoy...

Another needle in my side

Inside this haunted room alone,

I must open my mind's third eye

The piercing pain so close to home

You have me in your clutches tight

Run the sharp silver through my soul,

Revenge will be so sweet tonight

So die with every dark secret you know

Everything we do in life is costly

Everybody has to pay a price,

How many times have you begged for mercy?

Yet still you have to sacrifice

We try to keep our troubles hidden

Stay silent as a voodoo doll,

So now you want to be forgiven

Like nothing ever happened at all...

The cloth that covers up my face

In a likeness that is almost real

My nose can't smell

My lips can't taste

But to you it's immaterial

You're no different from all the rest

Sit at the table wondering,

You poke these pins right through my chest

Cause someone needs a little suffering

I have never used Voodoo. I believe in a lot of things but can't say I am a great believer in Voodoo. My friend has done it before though when she was younger.

I really loved the flow of your poem and thought that the poem itself was great, It's obvious that your describing your emotions through the way you would use a voodoo doll I gather.

heres the thing friend.  this life is about us and our happiness. so unless we love our selves and think were good enough then we wont ever do right by anyone.  life is good the world is good and if you find that good in you and that joy you'll be unstoppable.  this world is product of our thought so if you wanna improve your relationship with others you need to turn with in your self and tel your self how good you are and only be positive... hope this helps
