I have been thinking of moving to California where my family from my dad's side lives. I live in Florida now and the cost of living is alot more expensive there in California, as you know. I am kinda worried about that, and living in such a BIG city. However, I really want to move. I have been thinking about it for awhile now and I know that if I moved out there, my family would help me out, but I'm still scared you know? Are there any words of advice anyone can give me?

  1. Honey! you should think about this again. why would you need to move to such a big country to start a new life. I dont think you would be able to afford the life expenses over there. Besides, your dad's family won't host you forever.

if they like the idea today, they won't like it tomorrow. If you wanna start a new life you should depend on yourself not on your parent or you will just feel the same, dependent.

    Well, good Luck

  2. I tried that.  I traveled around the world for four years searching for a life, the greener pastures and so forth and so on.  In the end, I ended up discovering that Jesus Christ is the only true happiness, love, hope, wisdom.  After Him, I went back home a changed man.  Trust me.  Don Juan?  'No man is an island unto himself?"  Ever read that line?  Well, I proved it to myself.  There's no greener pastures.  Eventually, I realized that everything I needed existed inside myself, and I only need to hook one wire from my heart to the Lord's telegraph.

Who knows?  Maybe you'll search all over for what was possible in your heart all along.  Just like me.

  3. GO for it! if you dont like where you are at, you dont have any kids, no one to worry about but yourself so do it! good luck!

  4. if you are moving to get away from all the stressors, issues and people in your life right now - moving will not take away the cause of this

your baggage goes with you - you can not escape learned behavior

you have to work on yourself first -

  5. " The brave may not live forever, but the cautious don't live at all"

    Go for it :)

  6. You can run but you cannot hide, clear up all your loose ends first, then if you still feel like moving go for it with a clear conscience.

  7. I think you should go for it. The worse that can happen is to find out California might not be for you, but that's okay because it's better to find out for yourself then to have never learned. You always walk away from situations learning a lesson and learning those lessons help move you through life. As the saying goes you only live once. Your family will be there to support you so why not take the chance! I myself wanted to get out of where I was living and moved 6 hours away from my hometown. I lived there about a year, but then eventually moved back home. I don't regret having moved in the first place though because it's an experience I will have with me for the rest of my life. Good luck!
