Ever feel socially marginalized?

Because you are too skinny or to fat, because you are to shy, have a hard time getting jobs because you might not look manly enouph or pretty enough, or like with me you can't fit in because you don't believe in everybody elses religion or not able to play the head games everyone else does.

being to skinny,to fat.shy etc. is not what makes you socially marginalised.it's the way you feel about yourself,if you totaly accept yourself ,as you are ,so will those around you,

Oh yes yes.  For me it's not about how I look or about religion (even though I am atheist ... most of my friends are and I just don't really tell my relatives), but I definitely do.  I am young but I feel fundamentally different from my generation ... I wouldn't say that I am "shy" so much as quiet and contemplative, and it's hard to connect socially when everyone else is always around other people, music blaring, talking or texting on cell phones 24/7, etc.  I feel like many people pay me no mind or, when they do, it's negative attention because they think I'm stuck up.  The problem is that people judge others right away and don't take the time to get to know them.  I know because I am guilty of it, too, and I try every day to be more open to people even though it can be very difficult for me.

All the time.  I just find it difficult to connect to other people in general.

Oh and Roxy, it isn't all a matter of how you feel about yourself.  If you don't have the same body language or give off the same social signals as most other people then you will have a very difficult time fitting in regardless of your own opinion of yourself.

Absolutely.

My uniform always put space around me when I boarded

municipal bus ride cross-town to or from the penitentiary.

Luckily, nobody who saw me with shotgun thought it dull.
