Ever had one of these (Bad taxi driver) ?

Taxi arrives, you get in with your friends, crappy dance music blaring out so you can't hear yourself think or chat, heater on full blast so you start to get a bead of sweat appearing on your forehead & pitty appearing on your shirt under the arms (which is all you want as you are venturing on night out), taxi driver does not see the need to wear his seatbelt, but this does not deter him going double the speed limit with passengers on board, cornering way too fast.

At the end of the journey they try to get more cash out you than originally quoted, to which of course you issue a swift FO.

The above sort of taxi driver annoys me, have you ever had one like it and if so any bad experiences you would like to mention ?

You get his badge number off him or his car and the reg and report him to the local licencing authority,and good riddance to him.If it was private hire ,then you deserve all you get for using them,a lot of privateers are not even insured properly.

Taxis can only operate at two speeds.

EITHER dead slow, when they are looking for their next fare

OR, when they have passengers inside, as close to the speed of sound as they can get, because the quicker you can rid of them, the sooner they can pick up their next victim (sorry, passenger)

I live in China, here, they smoke, yell into their mobile phones, and pretend they can't find where you want to go so the meter price more than doubles. not to mention they drive very poorly. most of the taxis are pretty beat up. so yeah I have one every day.

Oh you do seem a bit tence, I would just pay.

Martin g.. I think you misread the question. But I do agree that if the person is rude to you you should slap them.

But I think this man means silly drivers and there are a few.

never had that. Guess I've been lucky for 40 years or use decent firms with a proper reputation.

One taxi driver called me and my friends motherfu.ckerz because we were singing drunkly

So we told him to drive down a one way street near our destination. jumped out leaving all his doors open and ran off.

A quote is a quote / estimate  NOT a CONTRACT............ If it is more YOU should either have given better destination instructions or accept that the distance you have traveled was farther than YOU BOTH thought or it took longer due to traffic / stop signs ETC

And if I was the CAB DRIVER and you told me to FO, you would need urgent medical treatment,,, you 'low life crettin'.
