I just received a typewriter and it says on it Royal in gold on top and Skylark also on the top, but near where the paper goes in. I am thinking of selling it on eBay, but I don't know if it's genuine and I can't find any information about it that it even exists. It's a manual typewriter very old and if it is rare then I want to sell it on ebay and even if it's worth some money I might sell. So could someone tell me about this typewriter? If it is real? Worth anything?

  1. I have 2 Royal Skylarks in the storage room!!! Can no longer get ribbons for them!! They were in good shape when I put them out there when we got our first computer and printer!!!

They were probably a limited edition but very popular with college students in the mid 60s.

The last ribbon is totally worn out as I re-inked it several times and have typed holes in it.

  2. I used a royal typewriter, back in high school year 1965. so it is real.
