Went to the shops because i wanted to buy a snowboard and the guy at the shop was trying to sell me a snowboard called Quest Wide(need a wide because i have a shoe size 12) from a brand called factory.

I live here in austria and he said that they are produced at the same factory in austria were the Burton boards are produced.

One thing that sounds very dodgy about the board is the price.

It was only 70Euros, but on sale, it usually costs 200euros, which is still cheap.

Has anyone ever tried or heard about factory boards?

  1. Factory decks are LOW END, definetly not comparanble to Burton snowboards. Id watch out for the snowboard sales shark and order something off

  2. I've heard on them, but don't know anything about them.  Sounds suspicious.  (I thought Burton boards were made in Canada or the US)

I have the need for a wide snowboard myself.  I was riding a Nitro Magnum 159, then went to a Santa Cruz Largo156 and a Santa Cruz Twinza J Fish 159.

Check out Blue Tomato, an internet boardshop out of Austria.  I have dealt with them before, and have had no troubles even with shipping to the US.  The House has a great selection of wide snowboards.  Their international shipping rate is $55US for one snowboard
