Ever heard of a stage hand union, Chicago? What do they do? Can I get in?

Looking to work as a stage hand, unloader, live sound. Any advice? Went to Recording Workshop.

The stage hand union (anywhere) is called the International Association of Theatrical Stage Hands and Employees (IATSE pronounced [eye-au-tsee]) if you watch any movie at the very end of the credits there will be a five pointed star symbol which is there logo (in the corner of their homepage)
