In early thirties Ohio,The CH&DRR, known affectionately as Charges High & d**n Rough-Ridin' ? What's that? I must be old? No,no...My grandpa told me about it.

  1. That same lettering is on a rail bridge in Wheaton Il. on Rt. 56

    near fermi-lab.  Don't know what it actually stands for.


  2. The Cincinnati, Hamilton and Dayton Railroad.

    Incorporated in 1917 into the Baltimore and Ohio which, in turn, became part of Conrail.

    If you search with "CH&D Railroad", you'll get links to many historical websites in the Southern Ohio area that are related to this railroad.
