  1. Of course ! It's a team game. I've given up game winning hits to pitchers, committed errors for our team to lose. When you play for fifteen years in organized ball shite happens.

  2. I struck out in the top of the 9th with the winning run on 3rd..(the game was tied) then in the bottom of the 9th a runner stole second and went to third b/c I threw the ball into centerfield(I was a catcher) then with 2 outs in the same inning with that runner on third I dropped an easy pop-up in front of the plate(although I think the pitcher shoulod have made the play)and the winning run scored

  3. yes. i was a d**n good catche and one day we were trailing by three runs in the last inning. i hit a bases loaded triple and i eventually scored. in the bottom of the inning the other team scored once and had a winning run on second, and we had a pass  ball. i made a terrible throw that sailed into left field and the runner scored and they won.... i had plenty of time to set my feet but i just didnt think.

this was years ago but im still haunted by it....

  4. well i'm 16 and a varsity baseball player. Up to this point i have

played a lot of baseball games (more then a hundred in the past 2 years) and i have won us many games with my hitting and a few with my pitching.

on the flip side i have lost us a few games as well. Every single one has been while i was pitching. I would give up a few runs and we lose or something like that, but i don't pride myself on my pitching. I pride myself on my ability to be a lead off hitter and a good center fielder.

well we were in a tournament for the fourth of july (of 2007) and i was playing with my high school team. I was the youngest guy out there and i was more nervous then usual because i was gonna be playing center field. (i usual played right when i played with 18 year olds) we were in the quarter finals of a tournament that contained 25 teams in it and it was the bottom of the last inning in a tie game. there was a runner on first with 2 outs and they hit it up the middle. I came charging in to make sure that the runner didnt go from 1st to 3rd. Next thing i knew the ball had gone under my glove and the runner ended up scoring. We lost and were eliminated. Even though the short stop had made an error that could have ended the game the play before, i was still blamed for the loss by all the seniors. it totally killed my confidence as i went on to make 4 errors in the next 4 games in CENTERFIELD.!

but its all good now as the seniors have graduated and a year has passed. We just ended an american legion league

where i hit .442 as the lead off hitter and i'm barely gonna enter my junior year

look me up on maxpreps.com next year.

  5. I played on some pretty bad teams over the years.  So my stupid mistakes were never the deciding factor in wheather we won or lost.  But one play sticks out in my mind.  I was an outfielder but for some reason the coach had me at second base.  A bouncing ball was coming to me and I was ready for the final bounce but the ball insterad of bouncing remained on the ground and rolled right through my legs.  I felt so stupid  I wanted the find a hole and crawl in it and hide.

  6. When I was playing pony league, I lost a popup in the sun and allowed 2 runs to score. I dont remember if that was how we lost, but it was how we fell behind. The only reason that i really remember it is because we were a horrible team (we won 3 out of 20 all season) and we were ahead of the 1st place team in the late innings.

15 years later, and i still remeber! pretty bad huh
