Question:

Ever since I tried installing something...

Well, see I tried installing this program, but it wasn't a real program it all it was just filled with trojan horses (about 80) it really screwed up my computer. Now, I got Windows Vista Ultimate and Kaspersky Inter Security 2009 cleaning out my computer from all the damage it's caused, but it seems like some of the damage cannot be fixed.

Such as, my desktop background is now blue and has a message that states "Warning! Spyware detected on your computer! Install a antivirus or spyware remover to clean your computer." And when I go to change this, it says it's been disabled and I need to contact the admin to change it. However, I am the admin! (And the only user of this computer)

And whenever I start the computer up it tells me Windows is missing files. I think these files are the ones that got deleted when I used Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 to clean my computer - and I don't know what to do now. I want this fixed as well.

And ever since I had this program infect my computer (I put it in the recycle bin and emptied the recycle bin as fast as I could) I have only been able to connect through the Internet through my wireless port, which I don't normally use. I run through a LAN network connection with another computer in my house, all done with wires.

And there's been other problems too. If I go away from the computer too long, it will give me a DOS-like screen and freeze up for a couple of seconds before working again. There's other numerous hiccups this computer has been doing ever since I tried installing that program, but you get the picture.

My question is: What do I do to fix these problems?

  1. Could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software. This  problem can be solved by uninstalling new softwares, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes . From http://fixit.in/bluescreenofdeath.html . You can also run a free registry scan using utilities from http://re7.info

  2. You need software designed to remove your kind of infection download, update and run a scan with the following -

    Malwarebytes: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

    SuperAntispyware: http://www.download.com/SUPERAntiSpyware...

    SmitFraudfix: http://siri.geekstogo.com/SmitfraudFix.p...

  3. At this point perhaps the easiest solution is to wipe your disk partition clean and completely reinstall (it's often recommended you do this once a year anyway). It sounds like all that malware has really made a thorough mess, and complete recovery probably isn't possible. Write all the files you've created that you care about off to something like a CD, then use the original media or whatever instructions the manufacturer provided to start from scratch.

(Make this easier to do next time by getting a tool to back up all your files to removable media all the time. Then after reinstalling you can just re-add the contents of the most recent backup.)

(Note that it's common these days for spyware to disguise itself as anti-spyware! Don't click on it just because it says anti-...)

Make SURE you have a way to reinstall BEFORE you wipe your disk partition; and if the disk has two partitions wipe only the main one,  as the other one is the source for reinstalling. Once upon a time *every* PC came with some reinstall CDs, so you knew you had them (if you could only find them:-). But nowadays reinstall methods differ for manufacturers and models and you may not have CDs in hand.

  4. Okay,

    go Here and post

Professionals will help you remove your infections step by step,

but make sure to read the rules before you post.

  5. Trojans are very serious virus that are pretty much impossible to clean up i recommend you reinstall your operating system. It is really not that hard to do and is the only way you will get your computer running perfect again .The damage from a trojan is irreversible since windows files are missing you must reinstall the operating system
