When my dad and II were at Wonderland and we wanted to show my brother (he's 3) how it's like going down a roller coaster (he loves those). We went on this old wooden one that really small kids go on (albeit it's very shaky) It was something like there were mini fake graves around it. So anyways as we were going up to do the first drop, there was this sign that said Please do not stand up." We were already filming for like 5 seconds when the loudpeker microphone system thing said "To the man with the camera in the second seat, cameras are not allowed." or something like that and we stopped.

have you ever succesflly filmed yourself point-of-view going down on a rollercoaster or another ride?

  1. yes i did!

    Just ONCE THOUGH

everything was was captured successfully..but 2 hours or so later..I left the camera on the bench with my sis to go get some DOTZ ice cream, and she went to the bathroom.

    someone stole it!!

and i harassed lost and found for hours and no one turned it in. I lost 480 dollars at a waterpark!!

  2. yeah i have done this before, i work at an amusement park and they always say no cameras aloud. the person who told you father "no cameras aloud" was probably a supervisor because workers normally would just let you use it on the ride. also, another way on not to get caught, just wait till you're half way up the ride, then take your camera up, that way, they don't see you. but if you want to see how its like to record on a rollercoaster, just check my youtube account. my username is "pnoyballa34". so yeah, i got it on there. and they don't know i work there cos i am out of uniform, so it kinda proves if you do it the right way, you won't get caught.

    hopes this helps

  3. I used to work at Wonderland and can tell you that they are very strict on the camera policy.

Every roller coaster has someone watching the lift hill, and if they see someone with a camera they stop the lift and don't start it again until they put it away.  The rest of the train usually ends up yelling at the person to put it away which just adds to the embarrassment.

Filming on rides without permission from the park is illegal and grounds for removal from the park, and possibly having your season pass taken away.

Just wait for your brother to grow a little and take him on a roller coaster, don't get kicked out for breaking the rules.

  4. With my eye before,

    not with my Camera though,

It was a heart - jumping - thrillisaing - experience, though.
