  1. Yes!! Patagonia is simply a breathtaking region, and I've been more than twice to Patagonia both the Chilean part and the Argentinian part. The scenery is compared to the one in the Alps, in Switzerland or Austria. The lakes are blue or green, the mountains are snow capped, the air is fresh and everything is so lovely.

In the south of Chile (Puerto Varas, Frutillar, etc) the Germans settled years ago and you can still see their influence in their houses, their food, etc.

In places like Torres del Paine you can see glaciers and rock formation which you will never see in any other part of the world.

Whether you go to the Chilean side or Argentinian side (Bariloche, Villa La Angostura, El Bolson) go at summertime (January, February or March) as the temp can get quite low during the other seasons.

  2. no but i plan to one day. exploring the entire length of the Andes.
