No, never. Driving a regular route becomes routine, and sometimes the actions to do it can even become involuntary out of habit.

Kinda like thinking you ran a red light, only to discover it was green, but you don't recall the mental steps you went through to proceed through it at the time.

The mental processes needed for driving are still occurring, but only secondary, below our surface thoughts (music, kids, phone, other traffic, etc..)
