Evergreen hedge - any idea

I would like to grow an evergreen hedge around my patio, the place faces West so it doesn't get a lot of sun. Any ideas about that? Thanks.

  1. Lots of space?  Leyland Cypress or Holly.  Limited space?  'Steeds' Holly or (not evergreen) Privet.


  2. helleri holly 2-3', roundleaf osmanthus 3-4' , cleyera 4-6'

  3. Holly,lots of different coloured leaf types and attractive berries.

    Laurel,

    Copper Beech,

    Hornbeam,

    Grandiflora roses,such as Queen Elizabeth.

    Rhododendrons and the ubiquitous privet.

    Conifers.
