  1. What is the weather where you're at?  It's winter/early spring here.  Many bodies of water are thawing.  If you have the same weather, it's too cold.

Have you tried allowing the fish to soak in their bags to get used to the water temperature before releasing them?  That can kill them too.

Check the ph & chemical composition of your pond water.  Maybe something in the water is killing them.

  2. it might be you dont take care of them
you have to feed them once  a day not to much
you have to change the water every 3 to 5 days
you have to see if the fish is healthy if you see any dark spot or any infection you immidatly have to go to the pet shop and ask for medication if you do it to late the infection or something else well get bigger untill you can't help it
you have to check the water tempurture it have to be 65-70 degrees
you have to decorate the thing and a place for the fish to hide
you have to becarfull, too much light to much hard for the fish a very very very light light should be at night but at day it can be normall
OK i wish  these will help you
