Arsene Wenger has admitted that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 need to approach every game like a cup final from here on, if they are to stand any hopes of saving their season.
Arsenal went on to drop to the seventh spot in the league table, after they drew their game against Bolton last night.
Despite dominating the game and creating numerous chances, the Gunners just couldn’t seem to find the back of the net and ended up dropping two vital points in their game.
The North London club have not won a single Premier League game in 2012 and the way things are shaping up, the team could be headed to seeing out one of their worst seasons to date.
Even with Arsenal showing such poor form, Wenger is confident that his team can pick up their pace in the near future and get back to winning ways, sooner rather than later.
However, he insists that in order for that to happen, the team needs to think of every game as being a cup final.
When talking about how his side needs to approach their games from now on, Wenger is quoted to have said: “Of course, it’s a long to go, we have come through a difficult period and we lost the three championship games.”
“We have confidence, but we produce it game by game, every game for us in the championship is a cup final now. We go into a period now where we play in the FA Cup, we play in the Champions League so it is important that we do not have more injuries.”
The manager was happy with the commitment and desire that his side showed against Bolton, but feels their inability to finish of games is what cost them the points in the end.
Wenger then went on to add: “We feel we have dropped two points because we had our chances to win the game, but we produced a decent game against a difficult opponent"
It is now up to the Gunners to pick up their pace and start playing with more desire, or they could end the season without a trophy and without a top four finish.
