even termites have good purpose; eating dead plant matters in nature.

But I don't see any good purpose for the cockroaches. What are they good for? Do they have any good purpose?

  1. They are scavengers; they are a great motivator to keep one place clean for those of us who are disgusted by their smell.

They must have been one of the most evolved species at some point in the history of life on earth, which isn't negligeable.

Who knows they might carry small sensors in the future, we might farm them for pheromones or make them into dog cookies.

Some people value them as wealth symbols, but then they feel totally disgusted by lizards. Truth be told not long ago some westerners used to pile cow dung in front of their homes as a sign of wealth, now it is pick-ups and mini-vans. Who knows what will come next.

  2. There is no purpose to any life, there is only approaches to staying alive.

Cockroaches found a niche they could fill and thus stay alive.  That's what they do.  That's what we do, just in a different niche.

  3. All I know is that they wouldn't be here if they didn't have a purpose. Did you know they are going to be here long after we're gone?

  4. You see no purpose to YOU.

It seems as if they have no purpose because you expect to see one that can benefit you.

The rule is "every life has a purpose". Not "every life has a purpose for humans".

    But really, cockroaches do.

To find out the answer to the question, you should research a little what cockroaches are and what they do.

All creatures have a purpose -

Cockroaches are part of a food chain and serve as food for small animals, and contribute to this planets biodiversity (cockroaches have 3000 species, btw). They are also omnivore scavengers- pretty much that means they clean-up around them and help to 'recycle' and reduce the organic trash that us humans produce - same as those termites you mentioned.
