False.  We are the architects of nothing.  There are so many seen and unseen forces acting upon us that the whole concept of Free Will is a figment of the imagination.  There is no such thing.  We are prisoners of our environment, our bodies, our history, our species, our gender, our race....need I go on?

So many things are outside of my control and the future has yet to unfold and can be influenced by so many things.
