I know hamsters are nocturnal. I play with him during the day a lot so he will sleep at night, but that doesn't work. Sometimes I put a towel over his cage but that doesn't work either. Can you give me some tips?

  1. ge a fish tank second hand their cheap and bigger then mormal tanks i got a 3ft fish tank for £15 in the friday ad there aot better and u can here nothin no biting bars the wheel is not as noisy etc

  2. i used to share a bedroom with my sister and she had the noisiest hamster alive neither of use got sleep so she would line the walls with cloths and towls and blankets, and putt her hamster in one of those hamster balls and you wouldn't here a thing cause he would roll on the ground and when he would bump into the walls it would make a sound

    hope this helps!!

  3. I had the same problem, and bought a silent running wheel, that solved the noise from the wheel.

This is what mine looks like:

its the best one i have tried so far!

    Good luck!

  4. put the fuzzy little creature in a different room if you can. that way at least you probably wont hear it.

  5. Hi the fish tank idea sounds good. I had a hamster too a long time ago and I had to end up putting his cage in a different room at night so I could sleep.. hope this helps.. GOOD LUCK

  6. They also sell silent wheels that are awesome. putting it in a fish tank with the bedding is a wonderful idea plus he'll love it!

  7. If it is in your bedroom its not a great place to have a hamster so try putting it in the kitchen or something so it doesn't wake you up

  8. Put it in a different room!  Hamsters are nocturnal so this is his active time and you can't expect him to rest when he has been resting all day!
