If I knew where time came from I could go there and grab more whenever I was late for an appointment.

  1. It comes at us from the future, kind of like a train on a track.  It's coming, it's passing, it's gone, fast as that.  And yes, like a train, it is too big a thing to catch.

  2. Time is related to the velocity that the earth and our solar system travel through space, so to go back and get some more time means that you have to go back to where we have been to get it then catch back up to where we are unless you want to stay back where we were.  But be careful that you don't build up too much speed on the way back and whiz right past where we are and end up where we will be.  Got that?

  3. God is the creator of time.  To everything there is a time and purpose under heaven.  At some point, time will be no more.  While we are here on earth, we are to come to understand what God's will is for us and do it!  I went to a "Refocus" seminar at church this weekend which was really interesting having each of us trace our own TIMELINE -- our own history of our lives.  Certainly that gives me cause to value others' influences on me, and my influence on others.

Be wise with your time, as it will one day expire!  We don't know when.  Are you ready to meet your Maker?  The Creator of heaven and earth.  John 1:1 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.

  4. It doesnt come from anywhere. It doesnt exist. Time is a human concoction. In the grand scheme of things it is irrelevant. There is only change. We humans like to measure all things. Thus we use our creation of time as a measurement for a rate of change. It gives us a (false?) sense of power over change. Because change frightens us. We like all things to more or less stay the same so that we know what to expect. And in so doing, know how we can create change ourselves?
