I just dont understand it because I dont really yell and I thought it could be the smoke in the bars but there are nights I have gotten drunk after this without being around smoke or yelling and I still lose my voice. Its so weird! Can any one help me?

  1. Super Melsa has a possible reason and drinking fluids certainly won't hurt.

However, you need to see a doctor since the problem has been going on for a month. Laryngitis is usually caused by a viral or bacterial infection.  It can happen or reoccur after using your voice more than usual (yelling not required) and can be aggravated by smoke (smoke not required) or other environmental factos. It won't necessarily go away on its own.

  2. Guys, be nice!

Ok, so, I'm not exactly an expert in the alcohol department, but I do know that it can be very dehydrating (as can the sugar that finds its way into a lot of drinks) and a lot of mixed drinks that use fruit/juice/fruit flavoring can be very acidic (think of a screwdriver), so it could be either of those things.

So, my advice is to sip water between drinks, lay off the citric acid (or pop an antacid), and, since it could very well be the smoke, step outside for some fresh air every hour or so.

  3. you have gerd.

it's all in the stomach acids.

either time to cut down or eat a more proper diet.      which can help that digestional acidic issue you have which  most of us suffer.    the more proper a diet the more you can enjoy your drinking.

they also make prescriptions for this issue.

talk with a doctor about the possiblilities of gerd.   (acid reflux disease and other digestional disorders and too much acid production)   gerd throat is nothing to laugh about it can be a life long issue and a dangerous life threatening problem.

    that simple...

the simpson sisters suffer it.. that's why when they had their lip sync issues folks made fun of them...

    gerd effects your larynx.

gerd can also be very dangerous.

do some research on this disease when you have the time to prepare and adjust your diet.
