Every so often the screen of my Sanyo CRT television goes blue with wavy lines. What's going on?

check the cable, it may be bad or loose.  If it is not the cable then you may have a big problem.  Sorry.

Blue screen on a CRT is usually an indication of loss or weak signal strength. If you are using an antenna, check that it is pointed in the right direction for maximum signal reception. Antenna signals are primarily line-of-sight. Momentary obstructions between your antenna and the source can cause occasional blue screen episodes.
