  1. 90 psi is extemely high but its probably not normal for tubes to lose air that fast. It probably has a slow leak.

  2. As long as it doesn't go completely flat after, let's say, 8 days, you are probably all right.  It's normal to lose some pressure in high pressure tires, but you could also have a slow leak.  If it's too annoying to refill the air, try replacing the tube.

  3. My high pressure tyres (100 to 120 lbs p.s.i) lose about 5 lbs p.s.i per day if they are left standing.

Try storing your bike with the wheels off the ground.

  4. No, you probally need to replace the valve stem in the tire if no holes are present.

  5. Higher pressures in narrow tires bleed down faster than larger mountain bike type tires.  I'd say that's normal.  It's pretty much standard practice to air up your tires every day or two when you ride....cheap insurance against pinch flats and on-road repairs, plus it lets you know when you have problems with leaks.

I run my road tires at 100psi/95psi and they usually hold that pressure for 3 days or so.  If I let them sit for more than a week, they get down as low as 40psi.   My mountain bike tires run at 34-38psi and as long as I don't have thorns in them, they'll hold that pressure for weeks at a time.

If you're losing pressure too fast, you can try a different brand of innertube or check yours to see if you have some pinhole leaks.  Also, if you have schraeder valves, use a valve tool to make sure the cores are snug in the valve body (any auto valve tool will work, and you can get them with bottles of Slime sealant, or buy a cap with built in tool).

    Hope this helps....

  6. No it not normal. High pressure tires do lose presure much faster than other tires but 40 psi in 4 days is far too much. I keep about 110 psi in my tires and lose about 15 psi in a week.

The only time I ever lost than much in a few days was when using latex tubes in my sewups. Try replacing the tubes.
