I wore a maroon shirt the other day, and it some how got on my right side in a big blob and ran down. Nice yellow bleach stain! Now I'm wearing maroon today, and this is the second shirt I've ruined! Should I buy white shirts and wear them on laundry day or something? I'm going crazy trying to figure out how it keeps dripping on the same side and spot on my t-shirt!

  1. same thing happened to me. wear white clothing for laundry day

  2. i get the clorox splashless liquid gel. just have an old tatty shirt you wear on laundry day!

  3. stop using so much bleach and maybe woolite will work

  4. When I am cleaning around the house I wear an apron. Yes there was a reason why these were popular way back when. I have several that just loop around my neck and tie in back. Craft stores have them in natural and black.

I ruin many shirts before I started doing this. I keep a hook with them hanging on it in the laundry room and in the kitchen closet

  5. pour the bleach directly into the washer after you start the water before you put the clothes in. works for me, don't have any problems. the only time i ruin my clothes with bleach is when i bleaching dye off my counters after dying my clothes, as for the clothes that you ruint, try bleaching them out and buy a favorite color dye and make them into new shirts.

  6. start the water in the washer first and you need to put the bleach in the bleach compartment of your washer not directly into the washer...r u using bleach for colors??

  7. It's best to wear old clothes when using bleach as a preventative measure & of course, be extra careful with the stuff & keep a rag on hand in case of spills.

  8. I've ruined numerous clothes with bleach. My solution...stop using bleach and opt for bleach alternatives to get your clothes white. Like vinegar or hydrogen peroxide. If you really want to use bleach on your clothes, then wear junky clothes when doing laundry.

    Good luck!

  9. I have the same problem.  Over the years I have learned how to solve the problem.  Maybe this will help you.  Next time and every time you do laundry or use bleach put on that stained maroon shirt.  I keep about two sets of clothing for when I use bleach and two sets of clothing for when I do yard work.  When through with my project I put them through the laundry and fold them and put them on te bottom of my closet ready for my next bleach or yard project.

  10. try color safe bleach!

  11. pour it into a measuring cup first then into the washer

    good luck

  12. Stop bleaching your clothes! LOL

  13. just don't ever do laundry again
