Every time i google search I get another "search engine called "Search Me Cyberstroll comes up instead

How do I get rid of this and how did it manage to get on my computer as I have all the necessary computer protection

Sometimes certain downloads come with unwanted programs. They don't count as viruses per-say, so they can slip through the cracks. Even anti-ad programs can miss them.

If you can not get rid of it in add/remove programs in the control panel, you can disable it from starting up.

Go to start -> run -> type in "msconfig" then press OK. Select the Startup tab. The list there is everything that starts up along with your computer, and chances are this program will be on that list. Uncheck it, apply, and viola.

You might also be able to find the directory ("Command") for the program and delete it. This may rarely have undesired effects... just a disclaimer. It's what I would do, though.
