We are forced to unplug the modem and router and plug them back in in order to get the wireless network up and running again. This happens about twice a day - every time she turns on her computer. We live in Israel, we have a Netgear wireless router and two laptop computers. Any ideas?

  1. Check to see if you are both using the same wireless protocol. Either 802.11b, 802.11g or 802.11n. Some wireless routers have problems when they have people connecting with different protocols. If you have 802.11g, and her laptop is 802.11b you will usually see a slowdown to 802.11b speeds, or you might see a conflict. Even the better routers will have some slowdown happen.

  2. With wireless router's they can become busy easy for the server and it causes the router to temp stop working. I have the same problem and i have to restart my computer :(

  3. we also have a netgear router and if it isnt' constantly being used then we have to unplug and replug it in again i would suggest plugging it in with an ethernet cord

  4. Too many people are connecting to your internet

  5. sme one maybe blocking the signal or canceling you out of it try restarting your computer

  6. Try setting a static IP for each laptop.
