Every year in The Ultimate Fighter Series, the fighters get drunk and trash the house. Is this encouraged?

White denies that this drunken and moronic behavior is encouraged but with reality shows being the way they are it may be easy to conclude otherwise.

No need to encourage it. It's pretty much inevitable when you put 16 young guys in a house with nothing to do and free access to alcohol. If the alcohol were removed it wouldn't happen.

It makes for good TV, so im sure the alcohol is provided, and they get to do what they please...I loved watching Jesse get drunk and pee his pants....

yeah he is right. they have no tv or nothin so they can't sit around and chill, so they get wasted.

They know that these guys are going to do it. Their is no need for encouragement. All they have to do is supply the beer. WHen you put 16 guys in a house together who all live to fight, know they ALL live to fight, And CAN'T fight eachother around the house, they are going to break stuff. And it is a show of discipline. Who can resist, and who can't? If you can't control yourself when your drunk and you break a house rule you leave. And besides better to break the furniture than breaking bones right?

by not respecting the fighters diets but respecting their drink orders i would say yeah its encouraged....

plus with all of his business genius aside...i dont trust dana white...

I don't think its encouraged but i think when you put 16 guys in a house where they have no phone or tv or whatever there going to wanna find a way to entertain themselves. And thats how they do it.

I dont think its directly encouraged by the producers, in other words no one says he guys trash the house and act like idiots, but they trap people who are training to fight each other in a house together with no entertainment or distractions and they cant leave and give them lots of free alcohol, they know its going to happen along with alot of other crazy sh*t, and thats why the shows on tv. If it was just the fighters training and fighting then no one would watch accept people who really like MMA, and theres not enough of us out there yet to get good ratings.

Im so sick of the TUF shows.

I don't think it's encouraged, but I really think it's hoped for. if it wasn't they would not provide alchahol, especially if you know one of the guys in the house has a problem.
