Everyone, specially GIRLS, manual or automatic?

Question

Every car I've owned has been with a manual transmission. I live in LA and sometimes traffic gets real bad but I've never wanted to have a automatic car. Do you own/prefer manual? Do you wish you can change your manual for an auto? Are you just tired/annoyed with your manual car? Thanks for your answers!

Well I am a female and I perfer my automatic. Going back and forth to work in traffic and everything it makes it easier for me to drive a automatic. I never got the feel really on manual. To me the only good thing about a manual is that it is cheaper.  Now they have the cars that can be automatic or manual which is good if you like both. Use the automatic in traffic and maybe hilly roads. Use the manual whenever else you may feel like it. It would work for me.

I have both a manual and auto.  When I know I will be driving in traffic I take the auto.

Otherwise I drive the manual.

Every car I've owned except one (a 1963 plymouth Valiant with the aluminum TorqueFlite pushbutton transmission) has been a stick.  I won't own anything else.  An automatic robs your car of 25%-30% of its power (and gas mileage!)  I currently drive a 200 Mercedes SLK230 roadster with a 5-speed stick.  0-60 in 6.5 seconds and 26 miles to the gallon!
