Everyone's spitting near me.......!

Question

A strange thing has started happening with me. Whenever I am walking on road to somewhere, people who too are using the road to there destinations, would spit near me. It happens so many times than ever that cannot be considered as a mere co-incidence. Could this have any reference to occult or metaphysical sciences ?
