No, I think of all the green areas and the mountains because they are beautiful - the natural wonders. New Zealand is a really beautiful place.

For an icon you can use the Kiwi. They are so cute and everyone knows that they're from NZ.

  11. The first thing that comes to mind when someone says New Zealand is sheep. proabably coz i heard some statistic that there are double the amount of sheep than people in New Zealand.. or someting like that. Im Australian, so i think of New Zealand being our neighbour.

  12. The Maori people, hot pools, boiling mud, the silver fern, the  Pohutukawa plant (flower) which is very pretty, Hungi (meal cooked in the traditional way, and very yummy), and the Kea which is a parrot but the only one in the world that turns carnivorous in the winter months, and Rotorua is known for its rather strong smell of rotten eggs at times, and lastly my family and friends.

There's a really funny TV show you should research called

    "Flight of the Conchords"

    http://www.conchords.co.nz/

That's making a bit of an impression. lol

    "New Zealand ROCKS!"

    hehehe

Sorry. Don't want to sound mean. The show makes a great example of your self deprecating humour. And that is a very good thing.

When I think of NZ (and I'm an Aussie), I think of my whining step-mother from Mt Monganui (sp?) and how she still talks funny after 25 years in Australia. And how I am always very very careful around drunk Kiwis in Sydney... they seem to have a chip on their shoulder over the smallest things and can turn nasty if you somehow deprecate their self deprecating.

Dam... that's not gonna help you with your science project.

OK OK... smelly sulphur at Rotarua. :)

  17. Baaaaaaaa

This is what Australia think of when they hear the word New Zealand.

    (well, you asked!!)

    Cheers from Australia.
