  1. I don't agree with this at all! For a start not everyone has talent at 25 and some of those without it may go on to develop a sparkling talent at 50. Look at Grandma Moses who didn't develop her painting talent until she was in her 70's.

  2. I don't agree with it either. It seems 'ageist' to me.

I had no talent at 25, apart from being pretty and pregnant.

Now I have quite a few that i have learned, and improved upon with age.

I would rather be over 50 any day; such a lovely time of life.

Young enough to enjoy yourself, old enough to know what it is you want. At the age where you are more confident!

Those have to be talents surely!

  3. Hey, I was working my tutu off when I was 25, I retired the day I turned 50. I've traveled almost every state in the US since then and a few foreign countries. Only problem I had was when I got to England and found out I couldn't understand them.

  4. it is a stupid quote, some people don't find their true talent unitl after fifty....~

  5. Up to 4 years before my mum died at the age of 75, she was still making Wedding and Christening cakes which were beautiful. i am over 50 and i have mums talent of making the cakes, but i make them in miniature....so in my opinion it is wrong...

  6. At face value it does seem a strange quote but I think it's all about using, developing and not wasting  the potential one shows in youth.

  7. I am 55 years old.  I sing in a very successful choir.  I manage a charity for 400 very elderly people, living in their own homes.  I like writing and I am a published writer. I actually have 100 times more talent now than I did at 25 years old.

  8. I've never heard that quote before.  Quotes are just quotes.  Some may have clout.  I don't think this one has any.  I've known people in their 60's, 70's & 80's with the same talent they had when they were 25 and younger (insert batting eyes emoticon)
