Question:

Everyone is talking up Sheets/Sabathia, why does nobody say anything about Zambrano/Dempster/Harden?

I personally like Zambrano/Harden over Sheets/Sabathia, but I'll definately take the Cubs top 3 (Zambrano, Harden, Dempster) over the Brewers top 3 (Sheets, Sabathia, Suppan). Not to mention that Zambrano and Dempster both have more wins then any pitcher on the Brewers staff. I don't know if this site is just filled with Brewers fans and bandwagon Brewers fans, but they're getting talked about non stop since their little winning streak began. Thing is now that win streak is over. They lost 2 of 3 to the Astros and they lost game 1 against the Cubs in a game that was probably their best chance at winning with Sabathia on the mound for them and Lilly on the mound for the Cubs. Now they still have to face Zambrano, Dempster and Harden.

  1. Great and Dumpster are not synonymous sorry.  Dumpster has been pitching out of his **** this season but will choke when they need him in the playoffs. I like Harden and Zambrano but CC is lights out over both of them thats why he gets all the praise. Your pitching is solid though and deserve respect!

    * You make a valid point, I am a little bitter not because he was injured but because he was downright horrible for us!

  2. Well Ben Sheets CC. Sabathia are great pitchers and same with Dempster and Zambrano but Sheets and Sabathia have a better career so far and they've been around some time. And they both have what it takes to be Cy Young Winners.

  3. you can't forget about Lilly. He's a 10 game winner. so you have Lilly/Zambrano/Dempster/Harden when the Brewers only have Sheets/Sabathia.

  4. No body focuses on those guys because Harden has been injured a lot and has gone 0-0 as a Cub, while really he should be going 3-0 with 30k's. Brewers have CC and Sabathia and not really Suppan. I don't think of Dempster as a great pitcher. So right now these two teams have a 1,2 punch in the rotation

  5. Dude, relax.  Of course everyone is talking about the Brewers because they have been winning.  Sabbathia has been lights out since he came over including complete games whereas the have only let Harden get past the 5th inning once in his 3 starts.  He only threw like 87 pitches his last outing.

Braun and Hardy have been incredible lately, and the Brewers have been winning, so why wouldn't people talk about them?  And for the record for tonight's game, Sheets isn't exactly a bad pitcher.

I like how you go to the bandwagon card like every other jealous fan does when one team does well.  Way to act like a Yankees or a Red Sox fan.

  6. It seems to be chic to jump on the Bandwagon lately...all of a sudden there is 4000 "lifelong" Brewers fans on this site (fresh with the bruises to shwo their recent jump onto the moving band wagon!) that are under the notion that they now have the WS Championship wrapped up.  There is an awful lot of Baseball left to play, think back to last season when at this point everyone had the Brewers and Mets winning the divisions because they were so strong...but I seemed to have missed them last October, did they play on a channel that I do not recieve?  Z, Harden and Dempster is an impressive rotation and right now if I were a Cubs fan I would be rooting for all the attention to go to the Brewers, that was people do not realize when the playoffs start how great that rotation can be.  Milwaukee is beating CC into submission at this point so even if they do make the playoffs he will have nothing int he tank and everyone will call him a choker again because for the second time in two years a team has beat on him in the regular season.

  7. dont u mean zambrano/dempster/harden/and lilly. lilly good too

  8. First off, if you had been watching any baseball this year, Suppan is definately in the top 3 for the Brewers - Manny Parra is the 3rd pitcher and he isn't that bad.

I am not a bandwagoner, just a brewers fan.  I agree that the cubs have great pitching, but the reason that they have been talking up Sabathia/Sheets is because Sabathia had 3 complete games in a row, and they were stellar.

I like watching Cubs vs. Brewers because its such a rivalry.  Look at the game last night - back and forth the whole time.  We shall see what happens the next games...
