The mayan calendar ends in 2012...but many of their calendars ended at a specific time...this does not mean this is the end. More and more scientists are predicting the end of humanity in 2100. So many people on here seemed worried...don't worry about something that may not be true.

  1. u r right the calendar might but the world will not end in 2012 so don't worry about anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Funny how the mayans missed their own demise by hundreds of years.  I wouldn't exactly call them clairvoyant.  You're aware they had several calenders, right?

  3. I heard 50 years from now is when its all supposed to go wrong.

  4. it's pathetic that everyone has caught onto another end of the world scare....

There have been thousands in history and none of them have come true.

And every top scientist says nothing bad is going to happen to us on 2012

  5. We just had PacMan a mere 28 years ago, so I highly doubt ANY computer can predict anything. A computer is a tool, not a crystal ball.

That goes for the hysterical 'global warming' models , as well.

  6. In the bible it Say's that God said no one Will no the day nor the time when he will send Jesus for his true and faithful saint's.  Not even Jesus know when the Lord is going to send him.In the bible It says Jesus is coming back like a thief in night, meaning when you least expect it.Plus when he do come back he also has to rule an judge an that's going to take thousands of years, meaning judging the dead an humans that are alive, put it this way nobody knows but God !!!!

  7. well no one knws wen the world wiil end except JESUS!!

  8. Actually everyone should be concerned - I'm not sure "worried" is the right word - about 2012. The world is going to come to an end that year. No one quite knows why or how, but it is certain that there is no need to create plans for 2013 and beyond.

Sorry to be the bearer of such bad news, but better to know and prepare that to be surprised.

Now go out and do some good. Quit thinking only of yourself and spending all your time trying to make more money than everyone else. Spend the last few years of existence making the world a better place for everyone. Stop hating and killing, stop judging, stop making the end of the world so justified.

    Thank you.

  9. Nobody really knows when the world will end.

Michael T's answer is right, nobody will really know when the world ends. It doesn't mean that if all calendars end in year 2100, it's the end of the world. The truth is, THE world can end anytime.

  10. 2012 is the aquarian age of spiritual enlightment- a change from our american ways of materialism- a possible new world- hopefully not a new world order- not the end of the world- but the way things are going with the iran war soon to come, the fall of the stock market and US dollar- marital law being called- gas prices going up- another great depression- it looks like it could be the very end of the world- but who knows- only time will tell- keep praying, learning, loving, and surviving!

  11. Yes, and I think Dr. Jim Hansen is the leading scientist on this subject.  He's working hard right now to coerce other members on his staff to believe this is correct.

  12. never heard of it thats wierd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. The Mayan calendar does reset in 2012, but it did that every time they began a new time period or age. I don't put a lot of faith in their prognostication since they didn't predict or survive the famine their overpopulation caused (supposedly). The year 2100 is bandied about because of global warming predictions that sea levels will rise catastrophically by then and temp increases will make much of the Earth too warm to live in. I don't know of any other prediction about the year 2100 but long-range predictions are never correct in detail and nearly always way off the mark. In 1908 who could have predicted we'd be talking on tiny handheld phones to people across the world, getting data streams from them, all using computers which didn't even exist back then?

The main event that will occur in 2012 is that our solar system will be crossing the galactic plane, which supposedly may expose us to higher than normal levels of cosmic radiation since we'll be in direct line with the center of our galaxy. Hopefully by then the sun's magnetic field will be back up to full strength to help deflect that radiation or it may actually cause some problems. But not the end of the world, the Earth has been thru this many times before and has survived.

Nobody knows when the world will end, it may not happen until the sun expands and engulfs us in a few billion years or it could happen tomorrow if we get hit by an asteroid or the sun flares up. There's no point in worrying about it, there's nothing you could do to stop it and it hasn't happened in the billions of years the Earth has been here so it's extremely unlikely to happen now.

  14. This is a lot of guessing. No one knows when the end of the World will come. Don't bother worrying about it.

  15. Not worried about 2012 and considering how often "Scientists" get it wrong about everything I'm not worried about 2100 either.

  16. Who's worried about 2012?

  17. People have been saying  this for decades...  Did you know all the computers and everything electronic was supposed to crash  leaving a worldwide Blackout  in Y2K?  Didn't see it happen did you?  this one's not gonna happen either..
