Everyone knows someone who is a cheapskate. What's the cheapest thing your cheapskate ever did?

A friend of a friend complained about a $10 haircut being way too expensive (Btw we live near our university which is an expensive area... you can't expect super cheap stuff around school). LOL

One of the cheapest things I have ever seen done is: a guy I know goes by the car washes in town and looks for change people have left behind.  That fits more into the realm of general pilfering than specialty acts such as cheapskatery, but...

I've got a little story about something I did.  This combines a 'cheap-skate' thing with  a 'dumb, young teen' type thing... it's  pretty bad.

When I was 17, I gave my girlfriend a carton of cigarettes for her birthday.

She was a smoker, and we hadn't been going out for very long.  I individually wrapped each pack (as if that would make it better...).

I look back on that and just shake my head....it doesn't seem possible that I could be that stupid and insensitive.

Oh! This is a good one. One day I was in the DOLLAR Store, and this guy complained that his item wasn't a "Dollar" and that he should not have to pay the tax that was added to his dollar item. He actually stood there and argued with the woman. "This is a dollar store, why should I have to pay tax on this????!!!!" It took him 10 minutes to realize he wasn't getting anywhere with it!
