I am a college student and single parent, I need to find a part time job

Should I try to find a job as a catalogue model or try to find a job in an office or store?

I figure I can make way more money as a catalogue model as opposed to am office assistant or clerk.

What do you think I should do?

  1. If you can find steady, reliable work as a catalog model and it pays well then that is fine.  However, I know a couple models and work is neither steady nor reliable for them.  They also do not have benefit options.  My friend's daughter is a model, but she has to also work an additional part-time job because she has to wait for the jobs to come in.  An office or retail position may offer a more steady income even if it isn't as much as the potential modeling.  Modeling also often requires travel as well as long hours, which are important things to consider when your children are concerned.  Ultimately, you have to weigh the pros and cons of each job opportunity.  In our area, our job market is quite tight and good jobs are very hard to come by.  If you need to pay rent and buy food then you should do whatever job you can find that fits your schedule.
