Hi Candy.  Belize is a spectacular place to visit.  It is truly one of the most memorable and relaxing places I have ever traveled to (and I have done a lot of traveling).  I landed in the capital and hopped on a tiny plane to the island of San Pedro (yes, the same island Madonna sang about in her song, La Isla Bonita - and the locals LOVE her for that)  Anyhow, the island is absolutely pure paradise amongst the locals, who speak perfect english and spanish which is neat.  You also can ride around the island via golf carts on sandy roads or walk since it's so close together.  There are amazing beaches lining its coast and charming stores/cafes/restaurants everywhere.  The seafood is out of this world and if you love water sports, they have it all plus incredible snorkle/scuba.  If you visit, you can experience "Shark-Ray Alley" - see the video below - they take you and a few others out on a small boat (for a small fee) and then you jump off the boat and actually swim with large manta rays and nurse sharks - they are so docile since they've been there for years they love people - the local boys who drove our boat actually wrapped themselves in the manta ray and held nurse sharks like babies - out of this world!
