actually, the right is against all gun control. The NRA is vehement in their opposition to ANY form of gun control. But they see nothing wrong with the government controlling a woman's right to choose or and individuals' right to wed. And yeah, mcbush picking a woman in an obvious attempt to pander to the woman's vote is rather pathetic. I don't care about everyone else's opinion, but I am for guns and anti-abortion. I'm all for a woman in office, but I wouldn't have voted on Hillary if she had won because I don't believe in her views. I still know a lot of blacks who wouldn't vote at all if Obama wasn't black, and still don't know all the issues he stands for. (And by God, if I see another person post that same old line about wanting something different than Kool-aid, I'm going to scream.)

She also sued the Bush administration for listing polar bears as an endangered species—she was worried it would interfere with more oil drilling in Alaska.6

How closely did John McCain vet this choice? He met Sarah Palin once at a meeting. They spoke a second time, last Sunday, when he called her about being vice-president. Then he offered her the position.7
