Everyone will be given chance in warm-up matches: Corrie van Zyl
South Africa’s coach Corrie Van Zyl has said that he wants to give a chance to everyone in the warm-up matches prior to the ICC World Cup 2011 that gets underway on 19 February.
Corrie said that he wants to field all 15 players in order to keep them in match practice and full fitness. It is a good sign for the rested players, as they get an opportunity to play against Australia at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on February 15.
He also aims on beating Australia, as he feels his side will be taking a lot of momentum from the warm-up games to the main World Cup matches. However, the result of the match might not affect the overall condition of both the teams.
The coach said, “It's important for us to win in terms of getting ready for the 24th, which is when the real thing starts. To think about those things in the past is unnecessary. This is a different side now.”
