Camera, small first aid kit (Inc. aspirin and Immodium), Passport, European Health card (For free healthcare in europe), Money, Entertainment stuff (Book, MP3 Player*).

Sun cream, sun glasses, hat.  Coat (Just in case), jumper (It could well get colder at night).

Travel insurance; photocopies of TI and travel documents inc. your itinerary.  Any visas required?

* try and not take a flashy new iPod. have you got an old one or cheapy off e-bay.

If you are going to the sun make sure to bring necessary creams.

Might need a bit of money as well.

And a few thongs for a bit of a change, although I don't like them!

If you are travelling abroad, only take small amounts of shampoo and conditioner etc ( decant a small amount into 100ml travel bottles), and just one bottle of suncream,  Buy the rest when you get there....it cuts down on weight, and allows you a little more room in your suitcase.
