Everything on my Windows XP account is gone!?

Question

I logged on to my account this morning, and everything - programs that I had downladed, picures, documents, favourites etc. is completely lost! It's all back to the windows default settings!

PLEASE I really need this information back!

I don't see how you could have lost programs you downloaded and installed, or documents you have typed and/or saved. They don't just disappear. But before you panic further, first try a system restore - click on Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools and System Restore. Pick several days ago to restore to, and once it is restored, restart the computer so the new settings will take effect immediately. Hopefully, you'll find things again.

you need to put your Windows XP in and reinstall

Try to reboot it.If no help then restore your computer to an earlier day when it was all there.Do a system restore.

sounds like your hard drive went, all i can say  is take it to shop to have it  checked, you can try cables to make sure they didnt come loose, or possibly a virus  wiped out  your  pc info
