My 7 yr old son had an attempted catheter ablation (heart surgery) on Monday (it is Wednesday evening here now) under anesthesia. Today he has been asking when did we put in the pink lights, and why couldn't he have the pink iced cake.

The thing is these things aren't pink, the lights are a yellowy white and the icing is white.

I rang the hospital and they have no idea. What could be causing this?? He also said the light is hurting his eyes, he has no fever, no headache no sore neck, he did complain briefly of a sharp pain above one eye but it went away. Anyone out there a medic who may be able to shed some light on why he is seeing pink??

  1. Its probably the chemicals leaving his body from the surgery. If it lasts more than a week then I would get him back to the dr and have him figure it out.
