I press the button, it makes the noise, but when the picture would usually come up on screen, it says camera on standby

What's wrong with it?

  1. This happened on my phone as well when i first got it...to fix the problem go to Main Menu > Gallery > Memory card > Create a folder named "Images" and then try taking some pics and the problem should get solved AND also try deleting some previous pics and see if you're able to take pics.

And if none of this works then restore the phone back to factory setting and that should solve the problem....to do this dial *#7780# (security code by default = 12345)

    Hope this Helps :D

  2. Your camera goes to standby mode when you're not actively using it; otherwise, it would suck the batteries dry VERY quickly.  It SHOULD go to active mode very quickly, however; if that's not occurring, then you need to first check the settings on the camera.  If those are ok, then it needs to be serviced or have its programming reloaded.  If you got it from a cell phone carrier, you should call them about a replacement if it's still under warranty or if you have insurance.  If it's from a dealer, then they would be responsible for replacing or repairing it.

    Good luck!
