  1. with bumping u gotta place your hands together like on top of each other then hit it with the wrist part of your arm, then on sets never let the ball touch your palms, it is super hard for me to do but i got it now! good luck

  2. If your feeling pain, there are 2 major things you need to look at.

1st: the ball you are using maybe a store brand with a hard cover instead of a good brand ball. If your under 12 make sure to use a tachikara light, if your over 12 use a soft touch by molten, they will take alot of the sting away.

2: if your using a good ball already and you still have pain then chances are you are "attacking" the ball as it gets to you. You need to learn how to accept the ball as it comes to you. Your arms are the least used body part in volleyball. The arms should stay still and your legs and body are what moves. If your using your arms to push the ball to your taget then stinging will always be there.

If neither of these things help, I know some people who wear cut off socks on there arms during warm ups and non competitive games. It will soften the blow until you are playing correctly.

The right ball and body movements will take away all the pain, red marks might still be present as you are using your body to contact an object and move it in a new direction, but the pain should not be present!

    Good Luck the Coaching staff!

PS: serving rule #1, never say I cannot serve, instead be confident that anyone can serve a ball. Again this comes from the legs more than arms. Proper footwork is nessecary unless your 6' 3" 200 lbs, then you can probaly just stand and hit it over. 2 things, body movemnt = momentum, momentum = power. Second thing the straighter the arm the better. Your arm is like a catpault the straighter you make it the easier it will be..

  3. that happens! when i started it hurt a LOT i had heating pads all over my forearms at the end of evrey practice day.. but yeah i guess after a while it starts getting used to all the bumps and it just stops hurting! =) its wierd but trust me on this one! good luck!

  4. okay so i totally know how you feel.  I used to have it all the time, and hurts like a ....  But i have been playing for awhile, and after some time your arms just get used to it.  Sounds bad, but wait a couple of weeks.  My arms are now just sort of immune to it.  hope that helps

  5. Thers really no help other than to keep practicing so that your arms becum accustomed to it! I no how u feel wen It comes to not bing able to serv, but just remember u don't need power u need SPEED!
