Question:

Everytime i try to do my skateboarding trick on pavement i can't do it on grass I feel safe and protected!

I really don't know what to do!I'm really scared to learn ollie or other tricks on pavement,but i can't learn my tricks in grass forever pls tell me what to do i'm really scared!!Help me!!btw i'm 13 years old.!!! Thank you so much for understanding!!!!

  1. yes, pavement hurts much more than grass, but you can't go as fast.  it is real dilema.  Eventually you just have to tough up and take your shots on the pavement


  2. First thing is wear pads!!! With knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist protectors on there is a very small chance that you will get seriously injured doing an ollie or any other basic tricks.  Also, after learning a trick on grass use your driveway and place the back trucks on the pavement and the front trucks on the grass.  This helps you get a feel for doing the trick on pavement without having to worry about the landing.  After you can nail that move onto the pavement and just do the same thing; wear your pads and you should be fine.
